The constellation Sagittarius is located between Scorpio and Capricorn in the most star-rich areas of the Milky Way; in this direction is the galactic center. Therefore, in Sagittarius you will find a variety of nebulous objects, such as open star clusters, globular clusters and gas nebulae. Already in binoculars, the Sagittarius offers a magnificent sight.
Sagittarius passes through the ecliptic, so the Sun, Moon and planets pass through this constellation. The Sun currently resides in Sagittarius from December 18 to January 20.
