Procyon


Procyon (α Canis Minoris) is the brightest star in the constellation Canis Minor. It has an apparent magnitude of 0.37 mag. At a distance of 11.4 light-years (ly), it is one of the closest stars to the Sun.

Procyon is part of the Winter Hexagon and Winter Triangle.
