Anser (α Vulpeculae) is the brightest star in the constellation Vulpecula. It is about 290 light-years (ly) away and has an apparent magnitude of 4.4 mag. It only appears to the naked eye as a faint point of light.
The mountain Anseris Mons on Mars is named after the star.
