Vega


Vega (α Lyrae) is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra. Vega is about 25 light-years (ly) away. The star is part of the great summer triangle.

With its magnitude of 0. 0 mag, it was formerly used as a reference star for brightness measurements (photometry).
