Octans


The constellation Octans is an inconspicuous constellation at the southern celestial pole. It is the southernmost constellation in the night sky. Unlike its northern counterpart, Ursa Minor with Polaris, there is no conspicuous star near the celestial south pole. The nearest star visible to the naked eye Polaris Australis is a 5th magnitude star.
