The constellation Equuleus is an inconspicuous constellation north of the celestial equator. It consists of about four stars visible to the naked eye, which are supposed to represent the head of a young horse. Only one star is brighter than 4th magnitude. You can find it by following the southeastern foothills of the Pegasus.
Equuleus is the second smallest constellation in the night sky. Only the constellation Crux has a smaller extent.
