Dorado is a small inconspicuous constellation in the southern sky. It can be found easily as it is southwest of Canopus, the second brightest star in the night sky.
Dorado is home to the greater part of the conspicuous Large Magellanic Cloud, a companion of our galaxy.
Because of its southern location, it cannot be seen from Europe.
